Program:  Evaluating Volunteer Programs

Have you ever wondered how to explain, quantify, or illustrate the value and impact of your volunteer program? Join us for an engaging workshop on evaluating volunteer programs! Emily Stuart, Director of Family Development Services & Coordinator of Program Evaluation at Kingdom House, will walk us through the elements of evaluation, including outcome/change statements, personal logic models, and inputs/outputs/outcomes. Emily’s in-depth expertise and lively presentation style makes program evaluation approachable and easy to implement.

ParkingComplimentary parking available in the Premier Parking Garage between (9th and 10th street).  See below:

The parking garage is located at the corner of 9th and Cole streets (the sign on the garage says Premier Parking), next to the Convention Center.

  • Enter the parking lot from 9th Street, which is a one way street running northbound.
  • Take a ticket. You can park in any available space not marked Reserved
  • Exit the lot on the 10th street side and you will see the United Way building. Entry is through the main doors on the south side of the building, halfway between 10th and 11th streets, accessed by a sidewalk.
  • Sign in at the receptionist’s desk and request a parking voucher.
  • When leaving, exit the parking lot on 9th Street from the middle turnstile. At the ticketing machine, insert your original parking ticket. It will calculate the amount of time and money owed. Insert the parking voucher and exit the garage.

Program: Coaching and Reading Successful Teams

Building a strong team and coaching that team is essential to fulfilling an important mission. In this interactive, entertaining seminar, you will learn the six habits of highly effective teams. You will also learn tips and techniques for building, motivating, and inspiring a strong team through conflict, success and chaos. And, when your team is not as communicative as you’d like, learn how to read their body language to find out what they are REALLY thinking.  Also, through your own body language, you’ll learn how to have a powerful presence with your volunteer team, clients and co-workers

Speaker: Erin Cox
